HONOR SOCIETIES

National Junior Honor Society

Saint Luke School is an active charter member of the National Junior Honor Society. The NJHS is a national organization, which is based on academic achievement, leadership, honorable and admirable character, citizenship and service that allows members to use their talents and skills for the improvement of society.

Membership in NJHS is open to those students in grades 6-8 who meet the required standards in five specific areas: scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. The same basic and mandatory conditions to start the process of consideration for membership are as follows:

  • Grade average of all academic subjects of 93% or better
  • No grades lower than 85% in any academic subject
  • Academic Effort and Specials grades of 2 or higher
  • Personal Development grades of 2 or higher
  • Show exemplary behavior in and out of school
  • Maintain the all of the above standards for the first three academic quarters of the school year.

Current members maintain good standing in NJHS by meeting the following requirements each quarter:

  • Personal Development grades of 2 or higher
  • Show exemplary behavior in and out of school

National French Honor Society & National Spanish Honor Society

Seventh and eighth grade students who qualify are inducted into the National French Honor Society and the Spanish Junior Honor Society. This promotes language proficiency, continuity of studies, cultural understanding, and friendship.

Student Council

Student Council provides an opportunity for the students to develop leadership skills, a sense of responsibility, and school spirit. Class Representative positions are available for lower school students and leadership positions are available for middle school students.
