National Junior Honor Society

NJHS CeremonySaint Luke School is an active charter member of the National Junior Honor Society.  The NJHS is a national organization, which is based on academic achievement, leadership, honorable and admirable character, citizenship and service that allows members to use their talents and skills for the improvement of society.

Membership in NJHS is open to those students in grades 6-8 who meet the required standards in five specific areas: scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. The same basic and mandatory conditions to start the process of consideration for membership and to continue as members in solid standing are as follows:

  • 93% overall average
  • No grade lower than 85%
  • 2 for Average Academic Effort
  • Exemplary behavior in and out of school
  • ME in all Social Skills
